This series is a personal diary made in San Francisco between 2001 and 2009. These photographs follow my days and nights in the city, recording moments as they happened, without separation between life and work.

The pictures hold the good times and the hard ones. They include moments of closeness, uncertainty, joy, fear, and loss. Friends appear and reappear, some new, some long known. Some are no longer here. Others have drifted far away, but the photographs keep them present.

Shot on black-and-white film, the work functions as a set of visual journal entries. These images were not made to explain anything, only to remember. Together they form a record of a life lived in San Francisco during those years, and of the people who shaped it.
